Cumberland National Golf Course at La Gardena will be an exclusive golf facility, providing a unique golf course with 18 of the most challenging and unique golf holes you will ever play. The par 72, 7,212 yard course features the terrain and elements created by God and found by our golf design team. Each golf hole will be carefully sculpted to blend seamlessly with the adjacent terrain and vegetation. Each hole will include 6 sets of tees to facilitate all skill levels. Additionally, each par 4 and 5 will also have an inconspicuous par 3 tee to facilitate 18 hole par 3 events. Tee and rough turf shall consist of a fescue and bluegrass blend the fairways will be zoysia and greens will be a special blend of bent grass. The course will have continuous cart paths, an environmentally sensitive irrigation system and transition with the natural environment. The course will be developed to pursue Audubon Certification for environmental initiatives and emphasize utilization of organic products, agronomic applications, and integrated pest management. Other amenities will include a practice facility with driving range, putting green, practice bunker and chipping facility. Additionally, a par 3 hole will be positioned in front of the lodge which is a par?3, 141 yard hole designed for fun, challenges, and family participation. The hole features an island green, which will entice any visitor to La Gardéna to take the test! A pro shop with a retail area, administrative space, and rest rooms will serve as the command center for golf. At the opposite end of the driving range will be John Daly Golf Academy with a full range of lesson and practice components including an indoor lesson facility including state-of-the art video and computerization equipment for swing analysis. Storage of golf carts will be placed under the conference portion of the lodge, just west of the pro shop and include a wash-down pad The course will be authored and branded by PGA Tour Professional, John Daly who currently resides in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Upon turning pro in 1987, John has competed in over 500 tournaments on the PGA, European, Asian and Nationwide Tours. His most notable victories include wining the 1991 PGA Championship, the 1992 B.C. Open, the 1994 BellSouth Classic, the 1995 British Open and the 2004 Buick Invitational. John will employ his design skills combined with many of his celebrity friends to create a special flair to each hole, making the course a unique experience.
